bob1234
question about nodenabler that may be hidden somewhere in all this stuff:when it tries to insert a license, it can't bypass the password-protection of the program. if i disable the password, then it inserts fine and i can re-set the pw. is there any way to fix this? also, do any of the other fixes work to bypass the pw insertion? like some option in the fix to input your password so it could automatically update. let me know. Bart Grefte
MiNodLogin still works, although some sites aren't accesible. But yeah, like Bizarre™ said: each to his ownHmm, 'kay.Btw, just read that Nod321.com (from that picture) is down and that this is an alternative: http://www.nod321.cn/@jalaffa:Thanks for the update :)Update:NodLogin 10a has now been added to the frontpage.Yay :DUhm, where? Can't seem to find it...edit: ah wait, didn't see the rapidshare links :Pedit:Ah damn. NodLogin still doesn't work... Says license inserted, but it's not, same as 9.9c. bob1234
I've never felt it necessary to password protect Eset's settings.I think the point is that some virus can auto-disable the software. if pw-protected, it would have a harder time accomplishing this.@KotaXorThanks for the info
HATE9X
it seems that nodlogin 9.9c & 10a don't create startup entries, at least not on windows 7???what was the cmdline to run nodlogin hidden? nodlogin.exe /o ? seems i'll need to add the entry myself but i want someone else to confirm it doesn't add startup entries anymore, altho it used to.. HATE9X
@HATE9X:It adds a startup entry for XP, but I always block it from creating one.ok, thx.. so seems it isn't able to create it under windows 7.. since i moved to windows 7 from server 2008 i haven't seen the entry being created.. and i don't like clicking a shortcut from time to time to keep it up to date..i was debating with myself whether it was windows 7 or simply the newer versions of nodlogin.. tbh i think i installed 9.9c on someone's lappy running xp and it wasn't created either... maybe.the 10a installer doesn't even have the hidden/proxy etc options anymore.. harpua
In the past, the creator of nodlogin has requested that users not hammer his server too frequently. Perhaps removing the various install options is an effort to ensure that at least the default installation of NLI will not unduly stress his servers.Personally, I don't mind clicking on the NLI icon once a month or so. Hopefully, the licenses will still continue to last a long time.Getting back to password protecting Eset's settings, I understand the supposed purpose of it but don't feel it makes much sense. If a virus could slip by Eset and change Eset's settings, that would mean Eset wouldn't be able to detect it anyway, so password protecting the settings wouldn't protect one's computer from such a virus anyway. At least that is the way I see it. Hence I don't bother with pw protecting the settings.

Patrick
New version of Nodlogin 10a is out. I'm sure Jofre or someone will provide a link shortly. (UlisesSoft / Translated from Spanish using Google Translate.)New NodLogin 10th all previous versions will stop working. The NodLogin is a utility that places a license to the virus, so thatAntivirus can be updated in the servers of ESET daily.wtf! jofre
New version of NodEnabler is being developed !For the present NodEnabler 3.2.3 , I am using these Sites that provide new Licenses ( Keys ) and they are working with automatic updates. If one key is blacklisted a new one is inserted automatically :------------------------------http://www.nod123.cn/http://www.nod325.cn/http://www.chinanod32.com/http://www.naoz.cn/http://www.goodmima.cn/http://www.nod321.cn/http://www.antinod.com/http://www.esetnod32antivirus.blogspot.com/http://www.eset.org.cn/http://www.nod32keys.com/http://www.esetfree.blogspot.com/http://www.nod32-key-serial.blogspot.com/http://www.nod320.org/http://www.keybeta.cn/nod32-id/680.html

jofre
About NodAbler, just tested and what I can say is , it has bugs and i think is a program to forget. I think it will never work correctly. Maybe I am wrong but it`s my feeling .It should insert licenses provided by some known sites. But it`s almost all manual.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------NodEnabler has many figures. You can use it the way you like hidden or not. I can`t explain here everything. It`s important to try and then choose which of theses fixes is better for you.I like all ( NodLogin,MiNodLogin and NodEnabler). But as @Bizarre says : Each to his own , or something like that. They all work. Is up to you to choose.PS : NodEnabler is being developed still with more figures, so I think is better to wait for the new release, even if the way it is now is more than enough for me. Just hope the Author do not complicate too much. Sometimes bugs may appear and right now, the way it`s done, is OK.(Mine is WinXP Pro SP3 32bits).--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------NodEnabler ---»»» Readme.txt as follows :-~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Download.................................................
