[Help] Display Problem!

Roger D

Recommended Posts

I was watching some movie in KM Player, suddenly my display became faded and there appeared vertical belt of different colours all over the display like rainbow. I'm now unable to see anything clearly..

I restarted my laptop and also tried in Safe Mode but still the same problem.

My OS is Windows 8.1 x86.

Can anyone tell me what's happening ? Is my display dying? plz help.. I'm posting this from my mobile...

I would say that you have a faulty video card. It's about to "die" soon, It happened to me too, but I hope you have only a minor problem that can be fixed. It's a pain in the *** debugging laptops.

I think its a hardware problem, I was experiencing the same problem on my Toshiba Satellite L675D; (it happened when i boot into bios). Check your VGA cables.

@Roger D : Try Display Driver Uninstaller in safe mode & Reinstall the GPU drivers! Also Check your RAM Modules It'll be wise to use Memtest to check any RAM errors!

No, I once posted, Stop Fapping OR else you'll go blind, So these are the symptoms of excessive Fapping while watching porn. :P I think you forgot the Rule 41 is the limit!laie_67.gif

Well Jokes Apart try the workaround I've mentioned in my earlier post, Let's see how it Goes! Happy Lohri! :)

Well..here is new update..

I started to play video again.. and I saw the display started struggling in adjusting its colour belts and linings..After a little struggle it came back to normal Display..But now I can see 2-3 flickring horizontal lines at the top position of Display.. Now what to do?? Any Guess what's going on..?

try connecting external monitor to ur laptop vga port.. if u can see clearly in the monitor then it's laptop lcd panel problem.

even u can try cleaning ur ram and refix it again.

OR put off ur laptop for an hour. and then on it again.. and check. may b ur GPU Getting Too Hot

Ok try this.

Drain "ALL" excess charge from the laptop. Then fire the laptop back up

Hoping for the best.. :beg:

I still think it looks like a hardware problem.

As I said in my earlier post I would connect an external monitor. If the picture on that is OK then it is the laptop screen and could be as simple as the wire to the screen coming loose. Easy to fix.

If it isn't that then it may be the graphics card - harder to fix.

By all means try updating drivers and playing with Windows - but I still say check hardware first.
