Roger D Posted January 13, 2014 Share Posted January 13, 2014 I was watching some movie in KM Player, suddenly my display became faded and there appeared vertical belt of different colours all over the display like rainbow. I'm now unable to see anything clearly..I restarted my laptop and also tried in Safe Mode but still the same problem. My OS is Windows 8.1 x86.Can anyone tell me what's happening ? It's about to "die" soon, It happened to me too, but I hope you have only a minor problem that can be fixed. It's a pain in the *** debugging laptops. Roger D Posted January 13, 2014 Author Share Posted January 13, 2014 Well..here is new update.. :rolleyes:I started to play video again.. and I saw the display started struggling in adjusting its colour belts and linings..After a little struggle it came back to normal Display..But now I can see 2-3 flickring horizontal lines at the top position of Display.. Chancer Posted January 13, 2014 Share Posted January 13, 2014 I still think it looks like a hardware problem.As I said in my earlier post I would connect an external monitor. If the picture on that is OK then it is the laptop screen and could be as simple as the wire to the screen coming loose. Easy to fix.If it isn't that then it may be the graphics card - harder to fix.By all means try updating drivers and playing with Windows - but I still say check hardware first.
