desertwanderer
Hello, first post and need some help and hope someone advise me. I have relative with windows 81 Single Language English laptop given as gift, he wishes only to have Hebrew language. I saw no way to add language and reading no possibility of doing this. Is true cannot add language to Single Language? or is a workaround?
tezza
I do not use SL edition and have no need of language packs, but i believe you are correct in that you can't add language SL editions and according to MS Windows 8 Single language does not support multiple language. However!Adding any language pack to Win 8/8.1 Single Language (English)step 1: Copy Language lp.cab (x86 or x64) into C:\step 2: Open Command Prompt (Admin). Then input the following command and press ENTER. Wait for it to finish.dism /online /Add-Package /PackagePath:C:\lp.cabstep 3: Import Language LCID registrystep 4: Open Command Prompt and input the following command, then press ENTER.dism /online /get-packages > c:\1.txtstep 5: Open C:\1.txt, press left-button and slide it to mark the whole en-US language pack name.step 6: Use right-button to click on the marked area and select Copystep 7: Open Command Prompt and input "dism /online /remove-package /packagename:", then use right-button to click on Command Prompt screen and select Pastestep 8: Press ENTER to remove en-US language pack, and input "n" not to restart.step 9: Input "regedit" and press ENTERstep 10: Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\MU I\UILanguages, and use right-button to click on "en-US", then select "Delete" -> "Yes".step 11: Restartstep 12: Go to Control Panel to adjust Date, Time...All good to go, all credits xinso(Hebrew http://www.datafilehost.com/d/b37474dd ) Edited January 5, 2014 by tezza
PrEzi
What I understand is that desertwanderer already has a laptop with a Windows Single Language preinstalled and he doesn't want to play with dism etc. Here is how you need to proceed to add a second language : Download a language pack for your version of Windows (e.g. MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.1.LANGUAGE.PACK.RTM.X64.MULTI.CL1.DVD-WZT).Then mount the ISO, navigate to your language, copy the folder with lp.cab inside on your C or D drive,Afterwards -- Ctrl + R then type "LPKSetup.exe", After "enter" press "Install display languages", then select the desired language folder, then the lp.cab file inside it. THen agree to the license agreement, then you will be installing it
