I never get these tools, why one needs it? It doesn't do anything that one can't do with the windows settings, and beside this, sometimes it guesses wrong and delete registry keys that should be deleted. Like if you install the drivers for an external thing or something like that, and if that isn't pluged in, it will delete its string from the registry. Next time when you'll connect it, it won't work as it should.

The program doesn't delete anything, it's you, just saying.

1 min after the Windows is installed and it gives 987 Errors to fix? Cmon.

Since my last Windows install I decided to NOT clean the registry at all. (1st time for me) I still use use programs like this but don't allow the reg cleaners in them.

Privazer cleans a few but only history. Reg cleaning is turned off on that aswell.

I do clean uninstall entries with Total Uninstall which were monitored upon install. But as many as is possible to keep, I keep. B)

It's been quite a few months now and I've had no problems with silly little Windows errors or any other annoying problems that used to plague me when I cleaned the registry.

My comp is running a lot better now. Normally by this time I'd always have niggly little errors I couldn't fix.

I recommend not cleaning the reg when you next (if you do) install a fresh OS, and see if you notice the same results.

So you decided to install a clean Windows to fix errors? Or is it a VM? ;)

The point still stands, not the program deletes something, it's user-choice, most "cleaners" do have a backup function and give you the possibility to choose every single key or not, i'm not sure what exactly was found but i guess most of the so called "errors" were empty keys or similar.
