AlienForce1
Option 1: You can access the Lenovo BIOS by pressing the Access IBM button near the keyboard as the computer is starting up and then select the Start setup utility option to access the BIOS Option 2: Pressing the ThinkVantage button on system startup will also allow access to the BIOS
AlienForce1
If you don`t have those buttons on keyboard , you should try : Fn+F12 --> Boot Manager Fn+F2 --> bios ( InsydeH20 Setup Utility )

PrEzi
BIOS Update for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit), Windows 8 (32-bit, 64-bit) - Lenovo G400, G500What does a BIOS update have to do with a Boot Device choice menu ? saramath : A quick google and first result : First you can try the hitting F12 when you press the power to turn it ON. If your Lucky the BIOS is already configured and hitting F12 should give you the Boot menu and will let you choose to boot from CD/DVD, HDD or USB. If hitting F12 did not give you Boot Menu Option,Turn the system ON and start hitting F2, Now This will Let you Boot into the BIOS and will give you option to change the Boot sequence, http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-3000-and-Essential/Lenovo-G500-fist-time-boot-problem/td-p/1186725 Please note -- you probably need to press also the Function (fn) key -- depends on the BIOS setup. This is a recommendation on Lenovo forum to update to latest bios - they say that it might solve bios problem (related to setup) ...Well... and tell me - how does one flash a BIOS when there is only DOS,one has troubles with the boot-device list to bootup an Win-install disc and the Flash Package is for Windows only ?I know it is possible to do that in DOS or even some BIOSes have built-in tools, but you still need a second machine to extract it.On the other hand :I would still consider this the last thing to do... And there is nothing interesting in the BIOS changelog anyway. Edited January 3, 2014 by PrEzi

Airstream_Bill
I think I would keep the DOS instead of putting Windows 8 in it.
