Guest Greg
If your talking about Windows Messenger, you'll have to remove it from the Add/Remove Hardware section, in the Add/Remove Programs app.
Samurai
You can't uninstall 4.7 the normal way Greg. It's built into Windows XP. However you CAN stopit from loading up from every boot up and basically remove everything it needs to run which is safe.I did post alink above with instructions on how to do this :o
Nemesis
I cant thank you enough Samurai (kissing feet) that has been driving me up the wall, I have asked several people who "know" computers and they say you cant.I should have checked with the Nsane forums from the start of my conquest :o . Guest Greg
Yep, you deemed your conquest irrelevant other than you have come across some very talented computer users in the process.I knew you could block the service, from Windows Services and I knew you could stop start-up and default messenger settings...but, I didn't know you meant MSN Messenger. My mistake :o

Guest Greg
Yeh, I thought so. I managed to un-install Windows Messenger with Windows SP2 so like Lite says, SP1 or above and you can get rid of it.
