jackieo Posted December 22, 2013 Share Posted December 22, 2013 (edited) Since the giveaway is over, here is a nice ( I think it is even a better) alternative and a freebie! :)Thee best defragmenting program I have found is Auslogics Disk Defrag Professional -...and i have tried most, if not all of the others on the market - most are cheap(weak) and do not offer boot time defrag.AND! Diskeeper wants to run constantly - which to me is a waste of resources, and creates excess wear and heat on hard drives.IMHO defragging only needs to run when you run it, and all dam day. For this reason I stopped using Diskeeper years ago, and searched for a better solution, and found Auslogics wins hands down over Diskeeper.it has the best free space consolidation that completely clears all free space to one block, better than Diskeeper, which does not completely do it.
