locoJoe
I have been using just what is built into windows for using my 2 monitors hooked to my laptop...you know...Win+P. There are also a few settings in my nVidia Control Panel as well. Last night I was bored so I decided to try one of these "multi-monitor" softs. I found a soft named "Actual Multiple Monitors" here on nsane (good ole nsane  ). Anyways I installed it and it works well but I was curious what others may use and their opinions. So here I am makin' this topic. Here is a comparison chart I found: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Xeyelax/Comparison_of_multi-monitor_software
PTmax
I was looking for a freeware/open source tool for work, and I found zBar. Pretty decent, and it serves me well for over a year now.http://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/zbar/
