Jobe Posted December 4, 2013 Share Posted December 4, 2013 Just bought a new tablet and thought it was strange that Play store was'nt installed,something else called slider which I have installed,its basically a play store look alike,I would however still like to install play store if I can.I have dowloaded the playstore app and installed it but it will not run,starts but then exits,any ideas ???,I am by the way running Jelly Bean.Thanks in advance. sutanshu Posted December 5, 2013 Share Posted December 5, 2013 Hi 1st need root your tablet then use any Root Xplore apps...download google play.apk rename it to PhoneSky.apk and move it in System/app folder fix permissions ....reboot tab...now install Google Play Services apk ....done !!! enjoy .. Jobe Posted December 5, 2013 Author Share Posted December 5, 2013 Ok guys thanks for all your thoughts,I think I'll just stick with what I've got,dont fancy rooting as the machine is brand new and will void the warranty,it seems its not meant to have play store,easy enough to download apps on pc and transfer to sd card anyway and I'll check out slide me etc later.
