I am currently using windows 7.
I used the upgrade assistant and it showed me this message-
"Secure boot isnt compatible with your pc.
Your pc's firmware doesn't support secure boot"
Will i be able to use win 8.1 in my pc?sarcastic.gif
My configurations are-
Intel core 2 duo 3Ghz
4 GB ram

See you have any BIOS Update from your PC Manufacture first.. If there is not than..

Try to disable Secure boot from your PC bios menu then install Windows 8.1. After installation you can Enable again thats how i did as i was having trouble booting DVD ISO.

Thanks for reply november_ra1n. :)

I will try it out.

And as far as bios is concerned, intel has removed support for core 2 duo.
