Nice Post .... I Would like to Try this Kaspersky 2014 .... I got Kaspersky Pure 3.0 2013 on one of my Computer and Bit Defender on the other PC .. But Pure 3.0 is Never Slow on my System .. Runs Smooth like Silk .. If i can get a One Year Key for this Kaspersky 2014, then i will definitely try it on my Laptop to know first hand how it Performs and report Back .. Thanks and Cheers ..

Trend Micro better performance than Eset...not on my windows 7 x64 rig. Not even close.

Eset is the King of performances.

Kaspersky is great regarding detection.

Bitdefender is good too but but there is no chance they both perform better than Eset regarding performances.

That's just not true.

Sh*te test.

So, the dilemma is

Protection vs. Performance...

Nah...most of the best AVs are so close in protection.

Regular users won't even notice the % difference between them.

Use what's working best on your PC.

Eset is not the king of performance. I don't know why people keep saying that becasue it's a left over statement from pre v3

2014 is terrible imo. They completely dumbed it down and removed all advance options. You can get a 1 year licence for the 2013 version using the ASUS Mod found in the forum.

I don't know about ESS, but I'm using EAV with a free 1-year license (thanks to this awesome forum!) on multiple PCs, and even on the older systems I experience no appreciable slowdowns.

This isnt a thorough test avast free version eight two thousand forteen is version nine. Also eset always faster according to virus bulletin its the best av on virus bulletin. Kaspersky is one of the ones on the top I agree with that..

Kaspersky lighter than Eset

Lighter does not mean always the better... suggestion >>> do not use any AntiVirus and Firewall software your system will be even more lighter.!

Do not forgot disable Windows Defender too you will be light as a free bird.
