rudrax
As we know that sometimes we gotta use the cyber cafe and friends computer or any other computer of which we don't know the setup. In cyber cafe, all the PCs are connected to a LAN (generally) and the admin may spy on you.The next one is the risk of keyloggers which may be running in the system where you will enter your login credentialsOr any other backdoor stealer running in the system where your login credentials to be filledSo, I request nsane users who knows about the above quoted 3 situations, to tell us how to be sure of those 3 scenareo on an unknown computer. emerglines
Download Wireshark and analyze if your traffic is linked to any PC's who's looking suspicious, Use a VPN and make sure to not enter any site on that post(PC), now most cyber cafe shops are using wireless connection, which make you less vulnerable to Keyloggers, by just using a VPN (a trusted private VPN)... nanoman
In cyber cafe, all the PCs are connected to a LAN (generally) and the admin spy on you. true not maybe they must be spyingkeyloggers which may be running in the system where you will enter your login credentials be sure there are @ least Key logger on main Server Or any other backdoor stealer running in the system where your login credentials to be filled Most Of the cafes use 1 Unified Sytem Image for All the Machinesand they don't maintain or update systems & software s regularly , may be once aweekSolution >>> Don't Trust Or Use Cyber Cafes even don't trust your Dad's Computer On This One ;) ;)i'm not Gonna give you solution for this since all the scenarios you mentioned before happens on daily basis on real lifeone solution i will be sure the most don't use public shared computer especially those are on cybercafes i worked there before & i can tell 99% of cybercafes are monitored & equipped with sniffing tools mainly on the main server Machine for quick example"cain & abel" cause the governments forces them to do so , since when you enter or log in to one of those machines >>> your passwords + urls you visit+ calls you make >> are stored to be recovered later of course backed with your session And Personal id another thing 99.99 % don't maintain the network health or updates the system and software installed therealso if the main admin of the cybercafes wasn't spying on you there are 90% chance some other clients on LAN are willing to do it especially on free WiFi
SnakeMasteR
You have no rights on the computer, besides very limited stuff (every admin with at least IQ 50 will set it up like that). You can't use important things you need to "protect" yourself because you have no permissions, easiest solution is: use cyber cafe and unknown computers only for funny sh#t (watch Youtube, visit fap-sites, read news, just browse). NOTHING ELSE.Don't visit your personal profiles or those of your family, friends, don't log-in anywhere into one of your accounts, don't enter any personal data anywhere. Don't use USB-sticks or anything! That's the only way. :) Edited November 30, 2013 by n0_risk!

mazigh
If one brings portable pieces of sandboxie, firefox, and sticky passwrod in a pen drive and runs sandboxed firefox using sticky password for filling the logins, can that help?I don't think this can avoid keyloggers, normally most cybernets are powered by Deepfreeze and similar softwares just to avoid them
