Casper
I've been noticing that IDM just does not catch any downloads for me anymore. I'm using Opera.I am currently using the patch on this site..I don't get any pop up messages or anything. IDM seems to be running OK, but just not catching any downloads? monkeyking
I try to install IDM fresh on a new computer today running windows 8.1 and run into issues with fake licenses. I have no problems with other computers before (windows 7 or 8) using the host method. I already tried to use the updated list from Roger D and pekahman and still have the same problem. I try to uninstall it and reinstall it again but still run into the same issues. I guess beside actually going back to the patch, does anyone has any alternative solutions. It's weird that it has no issues installing before till today. Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance.I dont know if this first time you are using Win8/8.1, but in case you do not know.Windows 8/8.1 (more specifically, the Windows Defender antivirus included with Windows ) monitors your hosts file. When it notices that a website such as ????.com has been added to your hosts file, it immediately removes the entry and allows connections to the normal ????.com website.(Easily fixed and many guides on net) Edited December 8, 2013 by tezza
