Which free antivirus you recommend me to install for a PC with Windows XP. If possible a link to download it , please.

Thanks for the help.

If you think that definitely has to be something, then something really light. In fact, quite sufficient if you are using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro (http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_pro/) and / or any of the free anti-virus program such as Avast Free (http://www.avast.com/index ).

ESET was very good for me for a number of years, been using Webroot Secureanywhere for a change this year and I must say its very good and very light using cloud technology.

It's not recommended to use Windows XP after end of support in April due to major security concerns. If you're going to use Windows XP anyway, I recommend Avast as your free antivirus, but it really doesn't matter. What's most important for an antivirus is that you are comfortable with it and it receives regular updates. They're all effectively the same thing.

ESET is the lightest, so i would recommend it too.

Its not free, but with TNOD, it becomes free :P

If you're worried about using illegal stuff, just go for Avast or Comodo. These are really the only valid options. If i were you, i'd simply go with ESET 7 ;)

It can't get any better than that.

hi:

One additional question even I installed Avast, what is your opinion of free antivirus from Windows with the nane Windows Essencials? What is going to happen to it after 2014, same as XP updates?

Thanks for the help
