Ambrocious
So, this has happened twice so far and Im sorta stumped as to what this since this hasn't happened to me until recently. When the Internet seemingly shuts off, I am still somehow connected and I'm streaming infowars on TapinRadio but no other internet based program will work. I have to both restart my computer AND my router to make my internet work again. Anyone have a clue what the heck is causing this? It says www.microsoft.com is blocking me from connecting to the Internet...how and why? How can I prevent this from happening again?
Chancer
Could it be a DNS issue?
Ambrocious
I forgot to mention I did flush my dns in the cmd while trying to fix my Internet problem. It did not make the internet turn on. I also an wired into my router and I can't seem to connect to my router at all but thats not all, my Firefox looks weird, almost incomplete and I tried IE and it too looked weird and didn't load anything. hallucinojerk
Might be DNS issue. Call your ISP.
mazigh
Try changing your DNS using this tool and see what happens

Ambrocious
Thanks for the suggestions but I found the problem but I am not sure how it's doing it. I have Avast! Premier and when I go to download keygens or crachs I disble the protection briefly. When I re-enable the protection, it seems to cut off my connection to the internet and I'm not sure HOW it is doing it. I confirmed it is indeed this which is happening. I have my avast disbled right now but if I were to enable it, it would sever my connection to the internet. The Internet lock is not on.Does anyone know why this is happening? Everytime she succeeded in turning her AV back on her internet would get disconnected. She was using AVG at the time but it sounds dodgy to me. g/l man. dMog
not sure but an on line scan would be able to sniff this out for you if it is actually a virus...kinda sound like it could be..Mcafee used to have an on line scanner so does eset and trend

Ambrocious
Well thanks for all the help and suggestions as to what this could be guys but I'm pretty sure it's not a virus or anything like that, I got it from the nsanedown download place, from babblepatcher, it worked out OK. Here is a look at my security options that I use on a healthy and regular schedule:I'm a security freak. I make sure I'm not infected. I uninstalled avast Premier and just went with the free version. I'm still curious how it prevented me from connecting, it's like it disabled my actual LAN port or something and there was no way to let it communicate with the Internet. Weird...unsolved mystery I guess lol. Edited November 21, 2013 by Ambrocious
