Deus Ex HR Director's Cut working on Windows 8?

hi.. just downloaded this game but having problems running it. when running the application nothing happens. just wondering if anyone having this same problem getting it run on windows 8?

i downloaded the game from scene release Reloaded. don't think it's a crack issue. latest game like batman arkham origins works on windows 8.1 though.

perhaps the only way to test it is to install windows 7 and try it? it's too much work but i will have to test it to see if it's windows problem. i'm thinking to buy this game on Steam if it's good but it can't even launch so i'm not sure i will buy it already.

Let's Assume That You Have Downloaded Reloaded Releases Then as usual make sure to install & Crack & Play Offline Or Just After

cracking Make White list in antivirus for game Dir And Block With Fire wall

hey nanoman. thanks for replying!. well for your info i'm no novice pc gamer and i'm a technical person :). i've already exclude in eset whitelist as well as blocking using windows firewall (outbound connections).

yep. there's only one scene release for this game which is Reloaded. i'm cracking my head to find out what was the problem now. would you kindly do me a favor? can you test it on your windows 8.1 x64? well i assume you are using one though.

since i downloaded the scene release, the crack is included as in the iso. no quarantine from eset (i've checked it). i also downloaded other crack (same reloaded crack) from some torrent sites and again it doesn't work. also.. i downloaded the files using jdownloader and all passed CRC checked. also the game installed correctly so i doubt it would be the corrupted files.

so the only way i can think of is someone reporting here whether the game works on windows 8.1 x64 on their system? assuming those have successful. else it would be windows 8 a broken OS.

Any AFAIK here are my thoughts about it so it could be right or it could be wrong

If They Release I mean The Creators Of the Game An new Edition Of Game that doesn't Need Necessarily To update the whole Game Engine & Programming Just To Support newly Uprising OS which in this Case 8.1 so the base of this game was first released as scene release on 27.8.2011 & the Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut was out 25.10.2013 on steam & Windows 8.1 First leak was lets say 1.9.2013 & official public windows 8.1 release was on October=10 >>> so doing my calculation n

they haven't taking into consideration that the game is to be run and ready for win 8.1

about to run the game on windows 8 and issues that nothing happened when launching the game

i found on thread a fix for it if u are using nvidia graphic cards

I double click on the Game (run as administrator) but nothing happen.for NVIDIA gfx users goto: C:\windows\system32\ and search for atiadlxx.dll and rename it to atiadlxx.dll.bak or something else. goto: C:\windows\syswow64\ and seatch for atiadlxy.dll and rename it to atiadlxy.dll.bak or something else.

Anyway this is Square Enix problem. I have a legit steam account with dozens of original games. I just want to test if this game is any good and if it's console ports and is worth buying.

Found the solution already. One of my friends in steam recommended me this:

No the problem wasn't related to Steam. It's that you need to manually disable the integrated graphics pre-installed by Windows 7/8 for the game to run. It was quite stupid on Square Enix to me.
