Network Problem

Recommended Posts

Just today I received this error when trying to troubleshoot what was wrong with my internet:

post-29397-0-27789400-1384639714_thumb.j

The only things I have done today are reinstall ESET fixed with EPA 2013, tried to install a key finder on VMware after extracting in on my normal computer, and I installed NODView32 but uninstalled it after it didn't work correctly. Anyone know the problem?

try running the sfc /scannow command on a elevated command prompt (right-click start then command prompt admin) to repair windows' system files

then check with the command slmgr /dlv if it is activated and restart

hxxp://www.retinapost.com/error-0x0004005.php (replace x with t) may give you an idea

I had an issue like this but it was caused by cFosSpeed (a beta build), once updated everything became fine

I just uninstalled cFosSpeed, restarted, and I'm still getting the same error.

UPDATE: sfc /scannow did not find any errors either. I did notice in my device manager that there is an unknown device with the hardware id of tap0901. I'm think this was installed when I tried to activate office 2013 on my VMware using KMS VL ALL 6.0.3.

I deleted the VM and uninstalled the driver, but I still get the same issue. Should I restart my computer?

Try a system restore...

That's a first step... if the problem is resolved, then be more carefull while installing sw.

Good luck.

So the folder with the file that is in the error details is empty.

EDIT: Sorry, I was looking in the wrong folder.

Install Microsoft Network Client
http://idoc.vsb.cz/en/okruhy/cit/pc/sitova_pripojeni/kl_site_m/win7/

or

Turn on network discovery

  • Press Start button (Windows Flag)
  • Type Control Panel
  • Click Advanced sharing settings
  • Under Domain select the Turn on network discovery radio button
  • Click Save changes

Now try accessing the network share and you should be able to access it.

See if that helps. :)

Nothing happened with this either. Is there a way to reset all of the permissions on Windows 7?

EDIT: Tried Tezza's tool but still get the same error:

Nothing happened with this either. Is there a way to reset all of the permissions on Windows 7?

you can try http://www.tweaking.com/content/page/windows_repair_all_in_one.html

So you want me to create the VM again and install the fix?

no, he was suggesting if you're connected to internet via vpn, your problem might related to tap driver that already uninstalled with kms vl all

so you need to reinstall the tap driver to make your vpn working again

I've tried Windows AIO Repair; I'm not connected to the internet via vpn though.

Make sure there isn't any Group Policy setting blocking the launch of troubleshooters, check the following location in Local Group Policy Editor.

Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Troubleshooting and Diagnostics\Scripted Diagnostics

Check these settings and make sure it isn't disabled:

Troubleshooting: Allow users to access and run Troubleshooting Wizards

Troubleshooting: Allow users to access online troubleshooting content on Microsoft servers from the Troubleshooting Control Panel (via the Windows Online Troubleshooting Service - WOTS)

EDIT

Stab in the dark as not quite sure what you did, and to eliminate a couple of things, but have a check to see if you have a Tun Mirror service running and also check firewall rules

I don't have that path in my system. How do I check the Tun Mirror and what would I be looking for in the firewall?
