What software you should not install (in my opinion never) in your computer?, and the reason why.

This would help our nsane peers be out of trouble. I can mention one specifically but I thing the opinion of nsane members have more value.

That's a good answer that covers almost anything. But how about if you need it and found out that the problems are more than the benefits and you would like to share it with our nsane members.

The installation of the softwares and apps should be dependent upon one's needs. If you like testing software, that's another thing. Keeping photoshop in PC looks classy but if you don't know how to work with it, keep it if you only like to show off.

If you are installing a software of which, you are not certain that you will keep it forever, install it by monitoring it with a 3rd party uninstaller. This process will offer complete removal of the product when you will unistall it.

And son, stay away from Transformation packs.

So true:

Internet Explorer :tehe:

Or anything that comes from mikr0$0ft for use on the internet - anything from google - apple s/w for use on windows trashes it badly.

M$ office trashes the registry - and for example Kingsoft Office does just as much very well, and doesn't add 7000 reg entries.

Anything with the yahoo name on it sucks.

Any s/w that offers to install a toolbar or to hijack your start page is generally too nasty to bother with.

When it comes to stuff that needs to be installed there's more bad s/w than good s/w - and this is why I avoid installing ANY s/w.

If something doesn't already have a portable it is usually possible to get the files out of an installer and make one.

When the installer cannot be opened to get the files out, I usually delete the s/w rather than fooling with it.

I'd rather have less of good, useful s/w than to have alot of krapware that won't get used.

I'm not giving a suggestion here but personally I'd stay away from A/V named Avira especially free version (I've never used other version). sorry but IMHO, MSE is even better than this. I found many cases when it failed on protection.

I am also going to give my opinion based on software complaints found in Internet. I am not going to give a specific link but if you search (Google it) you can find it easy and make your own conclusions, look for:
