Guest volko
Yes...Lavasoft is now releasing a firewall. I think they've just rebadged Sygate Perosnal Firewall. Will it be without @c+i\/at1on like their other products? 1 (3r741n|y h0p3 50. I'm trying not to be in breach of the forum rules here.http://www.lavasoft.com/software/firewall/
Samurai
Well I was going to wish them all the best in such a strong market, but I've just noticed all EU customers have to pay an additional 25% in "TAX/VAT" (I don't think they could decide what they wanted, so put both on).At first glance it appears they charge £17.87 ($31.29 US), and after "TAX/VAT" £22.34 ($39.11 US) which aren't that high for a decent software application, especially in this type of market... but 25% "TAX/VAT"??I think anyone wishing to purchase this app to do so in a non-European currency. In any case, only time will tell if it's any good. Their Ad-Aware seems to be a favourite of mine and many others. One question though, volko. What makes you think they're rebadging Sygate? You didn't post any other links aside from Lavasoft's.And lose the "Leet speak". You're free to ask questions regarding activation, as it's generally talking about a product, such as DRM. Just no chit chat about cracking said software.

Guest volko
I thought it was a Sygate rebadge because they're always trying to bundle Sygate's firewall with copies of Ad-Aware. Sorry about the "1337"...I couldn't wait to test my "leetkey" firefox extension out. Regarding activation, I think Lavasoft has been pretty stupid by not protecting their product. Hopefully....(not) they won't be so stupid with this release.
Guest Greg
Yep. Agnitum Outpost Firewall, indeed it is.No difference other than a new icon, new banner and few MHAR tweaks in the registry, bD1 and so on..
erRor67
So what happens to Outpost?
Guest volko
I guess they'll just carry on. Loads of companies buy the right to use anothers product as their own. e.g. Steganos AntiSpyware = Webroot SpySweeper. Steganos AntiVirus = Kaspersky Personal Pro. Guest Greg
It would cost alot more to hire the Developers to generate scripts for new applications to come through the public domain. Atleast now though, you know your secure because I know Outpost is a damn lotter better than most Firewalls, other than Sygate that is.
