The most reliable mobo I ever owned was an ASUS P5Q SE (still going strong, never looks like dying ++++++).

I went to [https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5Q_SE/] and had a quick look at a few specs...

* 100% Japan-made Solid Capacitor * VRM 5000hrs lifespan @105°C, 500,000hrs @65°C

There you go....that explains a lot....I am not dreaming or just a lucky owner.

Every GIGABYTE mobo I owned would eventually fail...I'm never buying one again.

My system drive is a Patriot Inferno 60GB SSD (running Windows XP)....very reliable, highly recommended ++++

All other connected storage devices are HDD.
