Lacius
Windows 7 includes a WAT update (KB971033) that does checks for genuine activation. It is usually harmless (it unaffects loaders like Daz's, the most popular way to activate Windows 7), unless one is using a key or KMS PID that has been blacklisted (as was the case with Windows 7 Enterprise users using old versions of MTK and the same static KMS PID). The solution was to reactivate with a randomly generated KMS PID that could not be blacklisted while also re-validating the OS using Internet Explorer."But Lacius, what does Windows 7 have to do with my question about Windows 8?"Windows 8 includes its own checks for genuine activation similar to KB971033, except it's not a Windows Update; it's built into the OS. If you were activated but now you're not, there are three options I'm aware of, depending on how you activated Windows 8:You changed your hardware in some way. Your key or KMS PID has been blacklisted. Your KMS activation (180 days) ran out without it automatically being renewed. It would help to know how you activated in the first place. Lacius
i think its on a forum If your Windows deactivates again, then my guess would be that it's been blacklisted.

Lacius
Alternatively, the latest version of KMSpico supports KMS v6 emulation (Windows 8.1). You could just uninstall your retail key and use KMSpico (or MTK when it's updated in the very near future to work with v6). MTK and KMSpico both work with Windows 8.
