Google Drive problem

Recommended Posts

Fresh Win 8.1 Pro x64 Retail installation from .iso

All good except Google Drive instalation (i don't have Chrome installed - too large size and unnecessary services in background for me - and i doubt this is a cause for Google Drive malfunction)

Online installer has downloaded sync installation kit..next, next, etc

On my desktop i see just three new icons related to Sheets, Docs, Slides, no Drive shortcut icon

Nothing new in tray or in processes related to Google but i have Google Drive in Programs.

Running as admin, reinstalling (one time from FileHippo) has not changed anything.

Anyone here experienced this strange behavior?.. and of course, anyone have a valid solution for this?

Thanks ! :)

I think this is a problem related to Win 8.1 in general terms (not mine especially).

Here some kindly soul could look at my post #163 http://www.nsaneforums.com/topic/55651-list-your-favorite-apps/page-9 (80 programs who work with no problems)and suggest some solution
