Why my laptop <cq 610 windows 8.1 x86> goes in hybrid mode on power cut/charger removal ..... ?

Recently updated to windows 8.1 and the laptop goes in hybrid mode on power cut or removal of laptop charger.............

Using hp Optimized power plan

Sleep is turned off on battery and plugged in mode
turn screen off on battery is 1 min and on plugged in 10 min

I think its the transition between the plugged in to the battery thats lead to hybrid mode....
Also i noticed that when laptop runs on battery the power % is not decreasing(keep showing 100%) and time remaining keep showing on " 0 min " no matter if the battery is fully charged .

please help ...... its terrifying ...... tried everything possible.... HELP !!!
