Try sfc /scannow and after it finish use CCleaner to clean some registry mistakes, then use slmgr /ipk [key].

Hope this is help :)

I had this problem and this is how i solve it :)

you have to add this first in the registry

go to registry key : hkey local machine/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/setup/oobe/

choose mediabootinstall doubleclck it and choose 1 and change it to 0

close regedit and start a dos prompt as administrator and type : slmgr /rearm

now close the dos box and restart the system

after restart use a dos prompt to place youre key in

slmgr / ipk (youre key) hit enter

then to be sure type in slmgr /ato to activate youre system

now youre system is ativated

to be sure it is permanent use slmgr /xpr

i hope it helps you out.

just to get you the picture of activation

slmgr /upk (uninstalls the key)

slmgr /ipk (youre key) places a key inside the system notice the space after ipk !

slmgr /ato activates the system

slmgr /xpr shows you the activated state

and there are a lot more to use (but for youre problem )

youre system does not now what version of windows you have. (non core system .....)

after the trick with the registry it nows you have a legit key (somewhare) and after the rearm you can get the key in.

you did use a wrong media to install and this is how to get the work around it.

let me know if you where helped with this.
