shinZemup Posted October 23, 2013 Share Posted October 23, 2013 I got a 500GB Hard drive that came from my old laptop and it was working fine and everything until i reformatted it by default window formats.Now my desktop wont read my external HD is there any reason why and could someone help me how to fix it, please i need to reformat and i need extra space for backup.Appreciated. SnakeMasteR Posted October 23, 2013 Share Posted October 23, 2013 Can happen when the HDD will be removed from your OS completely (it looses it's drive letter), try to assign a new drive letter to it, that also needs to be done after buying a new HDD and you wanna use it for the first time.
