Plug it into external monitor, if it does not send out a video signal then its your GPU...you will need to take it to a pro or send it to the manufacturer to get reballed

You can also try baking it, this could fix the solder

Some laptops won't use the external monitor unless the LCD is physically disconnected.

As far as baking a motherboard to re-solder BGA's - the only way it would work well is if fresh no-clean flux was applied. You need the correct temperature for lead-free solder (about 235 C) for about 30-60 seconds. It can't be heated or cooled down too fast or it will damage components. Some components would be damaged by the heat. Masking off the board with heat resistant tape (kapton) and using a heat gun would probably be the best bet for a home repair. But we don't even know if that's the problem with his board.
