Whoopenstein
Is it possible that the laptop is initializing but the backlight is not comming on in the LCD? Just another thing to check.
ricktendo
Plug it into external monitor, if it does not send out a video signal then its your GPU...you will need to take it to a pro or send it to the manufacturer to get reballed You can also try baking it, this could fix the solder Google bake laptop on youtube you will find many videos

You need the correct temperature for lead-free solder (about 235 C) for about 30-60 seconds. It can't be heated or cooled down too fast or it will damage components. Some components would be damaged by the heat. Masking off the board with heat resistant tape (kapton) and using a heat gun would probably be the best bet for a home repair. But we don't even know if that's the problem with his board.
