For those having problems installing KB2883200

ran the sfc /scannow command and after completion the update installed perfectly (still takes some time to install).

Thanks for the feedback but that didn't work for me. No integrity violations and then the same story. I managed to get all these updates installed by reformatting, then updating before doing anything else, but that seems a little drastic not to mention time consuming. I have a laptop here refusing to update, so remain open to any further suggestions as a guinea pig...

I'm running Windows 8.1 Enterprise x64 btw. Thank you very much!

It is being delivered through Windows Updates today anyway, wait and see what happens then.

Install Order:

According to Micro$oft - These patches should be applied to the official RTM image before the official release (General Availability).

@Matsuda

sorry had internal server error earlier.

I was checking and these are

KB2895219 Runtimebroker.exe process crashes in Windows 8.1

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2895219

KB2884846 Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2 update rollup: October 2013

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2884846

I do not know why they differ at present, also some appear not to recieve KB2883200 ( the largest update). It is a bit manic trying to find out properly at the moment , but not really worried as all will come good in the end. :)

@Matsuda,

Finally sorted it out. :D

When you install update package KB 2883200 from Windows Update, **KB 2894029** and **KB 2894179** are now included in the installation of update package KB 2883200. ( These were originally seperate in leaked roll up )

KB2884846, KB2895219 are new updates released also today, which everyone will also recieve on Win 8.1 so everything is good.

( KB 2883200
