i recently installed windows 8.1 x64 enterprise edition on my notebook and registered it, thanks to @ November_ra1n. Now i am facing a strange problem that i am not able to connect to internet as when i connect it using WiFi or Ethernet its showing limited access. i have searched for solution but didn't get any solution i have tried most of methods mentioned on internet without any success. and while searching i came to know its a common problem in windows 8.1. some other might have faced similar problem, if any of friends has any solution regarding this kindly post it here many will be benefited by it.

Worth to consider: Check if you need AUTOMATIC or FIXED TCP/IP4 IP adresses, especially if you

need Primary and Secondary DNS ip adresses.

Use iobit driver booster free to update latest drivers.

Tip: IP adresses could be found on your ISP's website or by contacting customer support.

Could be a driver problem or firewall blocking , if they are ok you can try

Reset WINSOCK, IPv4 TCP/IP, and IPv6 TCP/IP stack.

Command Prompt as Admin and hit enter after each

netsh winsock reset catalog (that resets WINSOCK entries to installation defaults).

netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log (that resets IPv4 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults).

netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log (resets IPv6 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults).

Restart the computer.

Or as you did not say what you tried maybe

Hope one of these solves it.

Agree with Ramiz - make sure the site's 100% working first. Windows generally works pretty on the network now-a-days. Any warning signs in your device manager indicating hardware/driver problems. Failing those, do the resets documented above by tezza.

i have dual boot on my laptop, windows 7 ultimate x32 and windows 8.1 enterprise x64, facing same problem, but still i can resolve it with many ways, sometime just a very simple way by restarting my modem can fix it, some times i have to change my local ip can fix it, sometime i can fix it with windows trouble shooter, and sometime i can connect only my wifi and my ethernet unidentified, but sometime i can connect my ethernet and my wifi unidentified, it really confusing me.

i also have vmware on my laptop, and sometime to fix this problem i have to disable the vmware network adapter.

Any sugestion?
