donizme
Hey guys I just came upon this thread and I need the PM also lolBasically I need to install Windows XP SP3 on my friends pc but I have no idea as to how to do this!I usually get slipstreamed versions and currently I have Windows XP SP3 Performance Edition on disc but I want to know if I need to do anything to keep Microsoft from detecting it? where to get files?I usually do the fixed windows genuine advantage thing which was on nsanedown recently, so any help please? :)
shought
You've got a PM.If you use one of those keys you won't have to do anything else and your PC will be 100% genuine(even on updates). You should make sure you are using Windows XP SP3 Professional though.

shought
They might some day, but I suppose the other key(V2C...) just ran out <_<
donizme
They might some day, but I suppose the other key(V2C...) just ran out <_<I just realised the xp version I have says XP SP3 Corporate when it claimed to be Professional! It still requires a key which is strange...can I use that key in the PM on this?or am I missing something because I can't install to test it right now... :sneaky:
shought
Hmmmm, I think they should work with Corporate as well, can't be sure though <_<
Jota.Ce
There's no "Corporate" version of XP... i'd say there's no corporate version of anything..You just have a XP Professional type Volume Licensing (instead of retail, oem,...) with a VLK inserted previoulsy... shought
I already assumed that, after reading Wikipedia :sneaky:There are corporate keys though, mostly referred to as 'VLK' or 'Volume License Key(s)' <_<You've got:- XP Home Edition- XP Professional- XP Media Center Edition- XP Tablet PC Edition- XP Embedded- Some more barely known editions. vartaxe
actually cd's from oem, retail, corporate etc are diferent... they actually have some files changed like pids therefore if you have a retail disc it won't let you use oem serial and the same for vlk key... and vice versa.
