That's a weird guy, Isso, he could have posted this message days ago instead of allowing those wild speculations to float around hurting their reputation. Outdated PR policies in this age. :p

Someone must tell to Mr.Isso that on WinXP (x86) (AX 64 Time Machine 1.2.0.1120 ) after 3 or 4 backups, when trying to Recover from the latest backup an error happens during the automatic reboot and is not possible to reach Windows saying to install windows again. Fortunately I can always recover with Acronis BootCD. And this already happened twice, so...uninstalled Time Machine.

On Win7 (x86) all is fine for now.

Yeah, I was so happy because I had this alternative, but it failed me many times, 4 times it made my windows to not boot because the restore console remained blocked at 5% for 2 hours.

Those with problems did you try the beta versions? They should have fixed the freezing at 5% etc. 1133 was for that purpose.

If hot restore fails using the boot disk has worked for me.

Looks like some company is buying the software, I wonder who? (Not confirmed) :P

AX64 1120, 1121, 1133, 1145 can't restore in Windows 8.1

after restoring with ISO, my PC can't boot

Could you upload v:1.2.0.1145 ? I have been looking for this version on WildersSecurity but couldn`t find it.

On XP :- With 1.2.0.1133 beta, installed and uninstalled programs several times, did 2 ,3 backups and also recovered 3, 4 times and only now I saw a blue screen passing by , but nothing dangerous happened.

Time to see how v.1.2.0.1145 works.

On Windows 7 will test later...

Thanks @ns870152 for the links.

Regards

Jofre

@ns870152 :

Version 1.2.0.1145 you posted, shows as being v: 1.2.0.1131 . Is this your mistake or a mistake from the producer ?

T.I.A.

Jofre

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Edit :

When recovering there is a (?) , the "about", and it shows v. 1.2.0.1145. So it`s a small mistake without importance...

What do you mean when recovering the about says 1145? Where is that? The program when opened at top says 1131??? So which version is this?

@uffbros :-

As you said, when you open program , on top it shows v. 1.2.0.1131.

Now click on «Recover files or Entire system» , close «Tip of the day» and on top, your right side , under the « X », is where`s situated the «About» and it shows v. 1.2.0.1145.

Cheers

Only problem for me locoJoe is I am going to update to Win 8.1 and I don't think it's compatible with it.

yea, I think ur right! Maybe the developer is just on vacation or something? who knows?

love this tool, and purchased to support the developer..I hope this app has a future...

ditto, but if not I cant complain, its already paid for itself for me.

yep saved me from pain in the ass lots of times

End of testing v: 1.2.0.1145 on WinXP Pro SP3 (x86). During 7 days did many Backups and many Restores or Recovers on both and it´s all fine... Works without problems. (4.October.2013 )

Anyway I feel safe. In case something goes wrong. If it fails, can use Acronis Boot CD (v. 15.0.0.7133). Both programs have compatibility.

3.Nov.2013 : - v. 1.2.0.1145 still works without problems .

AX64 News
08 October 2013: Announcement

Dear users,

On behalf of AX64 and all our users, I have an exciting announcement!

In order to create the best product we can, the team at AX64 have decided to merge its pool of talent with brother backup company ‘RealCopy’.

Both RealCopy and AX64 have roots that run deeper that you know, with both our teams having worked on each other’s products for a number of years. The result of this means that we are already familiar with each other architecture and as such, the transition to a single development force will be easier than ever.

So what does this mean going forward?

Simply, it means a better product for you guys. Instead of competing we’re collaborating. Instead of fighting, we’re growing together.

We will gradually shift our focus away from AX64 and begin trading under the RealCopy brand. Furthermore, our developers will be working around the clock to integrate AX64’s key features into the already impressive feature set that exists within Realcopy (Hardware independent restores, a more robust engine and virtualisation to name a few).

AX64 will still be available on our original site, but our focus shall shift towards the development of a new and improved RealCopy available at www.realcopy.com. Please note that the current RealCopy site and version available is old. You can expect a full site overhaul along with a brand new release of RealCopy with AX64 features integrated soon.

What should you expect?

A better, faster and more robust backup solution wrapped up in an intuitive interface that is ever more beautiful and powerful than before. We will continue our dedication to great support in the next release of RealCopy as we have done so in the past with AX64. In the lead up to this, support for AX64 will slow down as we shift our focus towards the development of RealCopy. We will also shortly announce a plan for existing AX64 paying customers.

Excitement on the horizon

We can’t thank our users enough for their support of both AX64 Time Machine and RealCopy. Our teams, now united as one, strongly believe that the backup industry is going through a period of innovative stagnation. We believe current backup solutions are plagued by an excess of minor additions that have resulted in an end user experience that is bloated, over complex and dated in design. To this end, both Realcopy and AX64 have vowed to respect the end user at any cost and in every respect: his time, his user experience and everything between. This lies at the crux of our design philosophy. This means that now, even more than ever, we want to get our users involved with discussion, feedback and development!

In summary, we simply can’t wait to have you guys get your hands on what we’re working on next.

For now, stay tuned.

Sincerely, The RealCopy and AX64 Team

MMMHHHMMM .....
