1. Have you tried this, it may fix the problem well known cmd command prompt for many troubles...

Open cmd with elevated privileges, (run as admin), and enter:

sfc /scannow

It should restart at least once as it verifies files and fixes corrupt ones.

2. Or other alternative use MS system restore going back to the date when this problem was not in place!

Run CCleaner

1; Cleaner

2; Registry

3; Tools -> Start-Up entries - disable any that isn't needed

if that does not fix it download this HiJackThis

1: create a log-file

2; upload to here Pastebin

3: come back to this topic and post the pastebin link

Scan computer with TDSSKiller (Tick the box loaded modules)

Copy the log to pastebin then provide the link here also

Edit

Is this a windows OS or Server OS facing the problem?

I Can only find *XA* .dll file names to do with Server side stuff.

xaprob.dll, even Google doesn't know what that file is. :lmao:

You can check msconfig, autostart and registry for that file "xaprob.dll", so maybe you get another process or executable assigned to it.

Not sure, if it is a virus, could also be a rest of a program installation or similar.

This .dll file is running when ever windows is starting ..

You should disable this file from running at start up.

Open run from start menu and type msconfig

then open services under system configuration window

Hide all Microsoft services, if you can see your file name untick the small square to prevent it from running at startup

Then open startup under system configuration if you see your file name then untick the small sqaure and click ok and restart your computer

Another solution :

  • Click Start, Run, and type regedit and press enter.
  • Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
  • Click Software
  • Click Microsoft
  • Click Windows
  • Click Current Version
  • Click Run
  • Within the Run folder you should be able to locate the file. Once located, highlight the file and press delete. Once deleted, exit out of the registry and reboot the computer.

The simple solution is to try system restore.

You should upload that file to VirusTotal.com (or, VirScan.org) - at least you`ll know if it`s a known virus / spyware ...

LOL... Impossible when it says ITS MISSING!!!!

Indeed.... :snooty: :tehe: :lmao:

Maybe the file is still somewhere on the system or quarantined from a AV or Anti-Malware solution he already had installed. Is there any progress you made on it?

install new windows, best solution :D

use a backup software such as ghost, true image, rollbackrx, ax64... never worry about errors

It's the easiest solution for everything but i don't think he made the topic to get things suggested he already knows himself. He probably made the topic to get alternatives to a simple reformat, the ultimate cure.

His laptop is pretty old (6-7 years old or so)... hes going to be getting a new laptop probably in a few months... most likely around xmas time cuz the video in his laptop keeps going whack on him as well...

He said this error msg doesn't affect the performance or interrupt everything hes doing, it only comes up at reboot/startup of the machine and then never sees it again.

xaprob.dll - the Windows system does not recognize such file, and at this location should not be .dll files. Simply standing alone... why?

this is the behaviour of a malware

the dll name might be random..that why no Google result

usually for a legit program, they will create their own folder

what av did he use right now?

maybe its time to change to another av
