How to make Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center ISO (Question)

Hi Friends:

I have the following procedure but it didn't work for me...

Windows 8.1 + WMC Creation and Activation Guide

Pre-Requesites:
ImageX
Windows 8.1 RTM ISO
Windows 8 Installed

------------------------------------

On your C: drive, make a folder called Win81WMC, and inside of that, put your Install.Wim and ImageX (If not in system dir), and create a folder called "Mount"

Then run the following code:

Code:

Dism /mount-wim /wimfile:C:\win81\install.wim /index:3 /mountdir:C:\win81\mount

Dism /Image:C:\win81\mount /Get-TargetEditions

Dism /Image:C:\win81\mount /Set-Edition:ProfessionalWMC

Dism /unmount-wim /mountdir:C:\win81\mount /commit

imagex /flags "ProfessionalWMC" /info C:\win81\install.wim 3 "Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center" "Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center"

Then rebuild your ISO and Install!

Your Windows 8.1 Key should be accepted during installation and it will install.

I recommend you activate over the phone, but truthfully, I don't think it matters.

EDIT:
If you're using the WZT ISO, change the index number to 1, not 3

Can you help me please?

Thanks

There is no shortcut here. You need to first install Win 8.1 Pro and activate offline, then upgrade using WMC key, activate offline and then manually backup the activation files and then create a new installation ISO which automatically accepts your activation and then when you boot into the system, you will see Windows 8.1 Pro with WMC activated.

If you want to activate Win 8.1,read and follow the procedure in this thread's first page and then if you have any doubt, post in that thread.

After successsful activation see this one.

There is nothing wrong posting here too there is MDL we are here nsaneforum, beside lots of people may not know other place if they are familiar this forum i find it useful actually it would be better to increase the topic how to make activated WMC ISO. Cause without that there is not much use of having WMC Edition. I was gonna create one then did not bother about it

This is not a topic on how to make a WMC ISO, he is asking a question!

He is actually having a problem and is asking for help as it is not working with this method, and has asked in the thread he took it from at MDL and has already been answered there, so why waste peoples time here with an already answered question.

Give it some more time TecMan, and someone will answer your question here on nsane. Many Nsaners are very knowledgeable and some will take the time to help you fix your issue, if you haven't already gotten the answer yourself.

Is the "Edit" in the OP, the answer to his problem?

Hi Friends:

First, thank you all your help...and thanks for reply my post and my question...

This method has a little inconvenience...it recommended to make a folder called Win81WMC but into the commands does not exist a Win81WMC directory, just Win81 directory...

I did that change into the commands but it didn't work for me

That's why I need your help

Thanks
