jalaffa
Have you ever wanted to remove Windows components like Media Player, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, MSN Explorer, Messenger...How about not even to install them with Windows? nLite is a tool for pre-installation Windows configuration and component removal at your choice. Optional bootable image ready for burning on media or testing in virtual machines. With nLite you will be able to have Windows installation which on install does not include, or even contain on media, the unwanted components.Download
calguyhunk
They seriously need to update their website ASAP! They still mention Outlook express and MSN Explorer LOL! And there's no mention of support for Windows 7 or 8! The following is a gem from their website as of today: "nLite supports Windows 2000, XP x86/x64 and 2003 x86/x64 in all languages. It needs .NET Framework 2.0 in order to run... Check if you have it already, maybe on some of your CDs before downloading if your connection is slow." Alright, so it's just the one guy writing a free program in his spare time and not making a dime from it, but still :P Edited August 29, 2013 by calguyhunk
jalaffa
Actually nLite is only supporting what they claim. Point taken though. I'll update the description of this software in our listing now.

These are the components that are in the XP disk that you can remove, duh And there's no mention of support for Windows 7 or 8! Actually he did mention this: For now there is no plan to update vLite, I am working on something else which will cover that area. The release date is not yet known, it is safe to say it can be counted in months, not years. I assume hes working on a program for Vista/7/8 Edited August 29, 2013 by ricktendo

I used to be very active making those in the msfn forums when I had free time ( pre marriage :D ) Edited August 31, 2013 by johndoe
