I just tried Faststone, Its very nice. FRAPS is what I usually use for recording desktop activity or games. Might have to switch tho. FRAPS videos are huge, even on low quality. Fastone had good quality with very small file size.

Edit: It dont work so well for games(unless Im missing something). Looks like FRAPs it is for games. Faststone is however excellent for desktop recording. I will keep 'em both!

Set the FPS capture to 29.9 frames a sec, and half the video size, also as mentioned already disable the OSD stuff, you don't really need the overlay.

Here is one specifically done for ur nsane username.

Otherwise do a search for "Faststone Capture" here on nsane and you will find loads of meds for this. I used the keygen by REPT to generate ur serial and thats what I used for myself as well. The serial generated is specific to the username input, I dunno how you got a valid serial# with no username, you are trying to do it backwards! g/l have fun. :sun:

Please don't post serials in open. Paste them on paste2.org like sites and post a sharecoded link.

Snipping tool. :P

I need to use that for special tasks like this (when testing now - Dropbox seems to have occupied the ctrl-print screen button - I would need to fix that):

Otherwise I'm using Hypersnap

Lol, I use that, too. I mostly use Snipping Tool because it's easy, simple and fast. Too bad it can't capture stuff like jalaffa said or dropdown menus.

   LOL..you bring old news ( 6 years back ) here ?

I believe you never touch FastStone since 6 years ago then no wonder you don't know what's new ( improving, feature added etc) into it.

but anyway,it's your right to choose best fit your needs

-1-
Faststone Capture. After saving a screen shot, FSC can start up an external program with it. I like the options: 'Capture Scrolling Window', 'Screen Color Picker' and 'Join Images Side by Side'.
-2-
Winsnap for occasional shots with shadow edges only.

I did not overlook Hypersnap and Snagit. Too much editor for screen shot proggies.
