2Old2Remember
i notice that virtualbox is much faster than vmware workstatiion!I'AM USING IT RIGHT NOW.. ....UNINSTALL VMWARE :PYes it is more responsive than VMware. The only thing missing in virtualbox is drag n drop. I have requested it a while back but i guess not much people are interested so the developers ignore it. demoneye
Yes , as a long time user i can confirm that VB is much faster than Vmware , also it doesn't install ANY resident services even if its turn off !
ajdibi
Windows 7 safe mode still takes an eternity to load, though. After choosing safe mode at the menu, the black screen with white writing showing the files being loaded goes very slowly. princenarwal
after using virtual box for a year i tried vmware player last week and i am planning to go back to virtual box. even virtual pc will be more faster than vmware if not using win8, just a little bit older. rseiler
Huh, when did this happen? I've read many times over the years that VB is slower than Vmware. Either that's changed (VB hasn't had a major release in quite a while though--did Vmware's latest major release suddenly get slow?) or there are different areas being talked about. I only use VB so have no idea.
ricktendo
I agree, I use VirtualBox because its faster on my slower systems than VMware. But if you guys still prefer VMware over VirtualBox you can find a "Lite" VMware version (with less junk) in the link in my sig
