LeeSmithG
usually, i prefer to "right click network icon > troubleshoot problem" whenever i've got this problemmight be helpful if you could list out all method that you had triedI have removed network, software for wirless u.s.b. key and flushed d.n.s. cache, Ivp4 and Iv6 flushed.Re-booted.Reinstalled everything, network related. The computer is a HP with on drive D the operating system.I would have done a factory reset, however when in the program files under HP tools and the menu to restore, it's greyed out and declares it (software) cannot find restore image.I would rather do an image restore, but can't.I did make D active hoping to boot to D and thus start a restore, no banana on that one.Lee
LeeSmithG
Hello again. It's the Ipv4 config that is the problem. If I could edit it on my daughters - see below. My daughter should be 192.168.0.3 Compared to my sons - see below. My daughter created this problem by using some dongle for her nintendo hand held game. This is actually the third time I have had this problem in two years, except the last two times I restored an image from Norton, however she deleted all the ghost images. HP System restore doesn't see restore partition even though it's Drive D and has the files on it, so cannot do a factory restore. So help please in changing the IPv4 address. Thanks Lee Edited August 4, 2013 by LeeSmithG
AlienForce1
It seems that your daughter`s laptop has Windows 7 installed , is it ? Sometimes it helps if you disable the network device (in your case `Wireless Network Device`) and then re-enable it ... did you try ?My daughter created this problem by using some dongle for her nintendo hand held game. You have to uninstall that dongle from her`s laptop , RevoUninstaller can do that job very well for you , after that reboot and your connection should be fine then .
