davmil
This sounds like hardware related....first thing I would check is the ram....do a stress test and see if it crashes then. If not bluescreen of death then I doubt a mini dump file was created. If it frees up after a while then I would check the ram. All windows os's go through a scanning at beginning of boot up and if not enough ram or ram is corrupt then you might face that issue. If you have some more ram laying around I would try that or remove one stick at a time and test. Could be a pain to find the answer but keep trying and you will find the culpret. You might just need more ram added into it (1.25 gigs if that is your total ram might not be enough). Agreed. Could be CPU or disk is overheating or overworked. 1.25gb of RAM? I didn't think that was even possible. Throw down and buy some memory after checking the obvious as others have suggested.

Roger D
I'll summarize what you should do1- Install Process Lasso (to make your PC doesn't hung badly)2- Wait till PC hungs, Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC, click on "Show all processes of all users", Watch which process is monopolizing your CPU or RAM power, if found end it and go uninstall the software related to it or just disallow it using Process Lasso3- If nothing found!, Type: Win+R, type "msconfig" go "Startup" and Disable all processesyou doubt are making your PC hung4- Scan your system (Hard drives, Especially Drive C because it contains Windows Installation) for errors5- Scan your RAM for errors6- if nothing worked, try to install KIS or ESET for a total Scan of your PCNB: Ok man, have a nice night =)Well I have tried the Windows safe mode and no hanging observed.. :) Then i tried Windows 7 upgrade adviser to check compatibilty of drivers and programs..here is the report.. AlienForce1
Another possible reason for system slow-down could be that the HDD is full : Edited July 27, 2013 by AlienForce1
