Try This :

1) Open Regedit

2) Use search option to find "vmware workstation.exe"

3) Delete the parent key (containing "C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Local\Temp\vmware_1374815224\vmware workstation.exe")

4) Run Ccleaner and Clear everything including temp files and registry keys etc.

5) Restart your system & Run VMware Workstation setup as Administrator (if the MSI error still appears then head to this link)

I Hope it works for you !!!

I've had tons of problems installing this before. I feel your pain.

I can't remember exactly where things are, but if it leaves folders after failing to install, maybe /program files/vmware/temp something like that. Try and locate an installer, exe or msi.

Try running as admin from there. Might take a while to find the right one and work but it has worked for me and others before.

I still have some bookmarks of solutions. That's how regular I have problems with it. Might be useful
