SlimRock Posted July 26, 2013 Share Posted July 26, 2013 Try This :1) Open Regedit2) Use search option to find "vmware workstation.exe"3) Delete the parent key (containing "C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Local\Temp\vmware_1374815224\vmware workstation.exe")4) Run Ccleaner and Clear everything including temp files and registry keys etc.5) Restart your system & Run VMware Workstation setup as Administrator (if the MSI error still appears then head to this link)I Hope it works for you !!! I feel your pain.I can't remember exactly where things are, but if it leaves folders after failing to install, maybe /program files/vmware/temp something like that. Try and locate an installer, exe or msi.Try running as admin from there. Might take a while to find the right one and work but it has worked for me and others before.I still have some bookmarks of solutions. That's how regular I have problems with it.
