After Using Windows 8 for more than 2 weeks, today I noticed that I'm unable to enter the Boot menu before windows is starting by pressing F10 ,F2, or F12. Even F8(Safe mode) is not working.. :( :(

I'm unable to run even Live usb created by Wondershare LiveBoot 2012.. :(

These all were working perfectly in windows 7..

Guys plz help.

Try using ESC key at boot... that can also bring up the Boot Menu you seek

If not, you can choose Advanced Startup thingy under Windows 8 Environment somewhere (I forget where this is located, sorry)

Also

http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/windows-and-office/revive-the-f8-method-of-booting-windows-8-into-safe-mode/

Bring back F8 section

Command Prompt (Admin).

bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy

This command line sets the default boot menu policy back to the way it was in Windows 7.
When you see the blue windows flag appear on the screen for the first time, press and hold down the F8 key.
If at a later date you would like to disable the F8 key and go back to the original Windows 8 setting, you can launch the Administrator: Command Prompt window and type the command

bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy standard

Or a free portable app- Boot UI Tuner

Open Notepad, copy and paste the following command line:

C:\Windows\system32>shutdown /r /o /f /t 00

save-as this text file with the following name onto your desktop: SafeBoot8.bat

Now once you run this created batch file your PC will reboot into SafeMode Menu, select option 4 for Safe Mode OR as per the hardware specified no.s.
