Forgot I also got Internet Download Managers plugin (autoinstalls but I love it :D). About more autoinstall plugins I got Java Quick Starter disabled and as for plugins I got Real Alternative Lite and Quicktime Alternative Lite, I just hate both of the full versions of those programs.

NoScript

Download Statusbar

ChatZilla

Tab Mix Plus

Web of Trust

Greasemonkey

Used to have Fasterfox, didn't think it made much difference (maybe because I already tweaked Fx..), might try it again.

Stuff I've tried and ditched (first that come to mind):

Foxmarks

Foxytunes

IE-tab

SiteAdvisor

Some Video Downloader

Just don't forget to backup FF configuration using MozBackup (free)

MozBackup is a simple utility for creating backups of Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, Mozilla Sunbird, Flock, SeaMonkey, Mozilla Suite, Spicebird, Songbird and Netscape profiles.

It allows you to backup and restore bookmarks, mail, contacts, history, extensions, cache etc. It's an easy way to do Firefox backup, Thunderbird backup ...

Customize Google

Download Manager Tweak (best one out there - it just got updated for 3.X)

Forecast Fox

Greasemonkey + a few scripts for google mail

IE Tab

Print/Print Preview (adds a full print menu to the context menu)

Right-Click-Link (high light a text link and open it in a new tab)

Curiously enough I do not use an adblock add-on. The only adds that seem to slip through the built in ad block are netflix ads...

I use these on Firefox 3.1 Beta 3:

Adblock Plus 1.0.1

Add Bookmark Here 3.1, this makes bookmarks appear on the top of screen like in Google Chrome!

Clear Private Data 0.2.2, makes deleting cookies/other temp files easier

Colorful Tabs 3.9.1, this makes the tabs have colours! very nice addon!

Download Statusbar 0.9.6.4

DownloadHelper 4.3, you can download youtube videos with this!

Speed Dial 0.9.0.3, Like the one in Opera!

WOT, displays a rating next to a website to say if its safe in Google search, and even in your e-mails so you can check if that e-mail will lead to a safe website!

I use a bunch not mentioned yet, which eventually increase the memory usage over time, but perhaps others will help them helpful as I do :)

I'll just list all of mine with a brief description of why:

AutoPager - great for autoloading the next page of a site without all the clicking! The best usage is really seen on google searches and forums

Adblock Plus - ad blocking

DownloadHelper - grab vids off of sites

FlashGot - integrates w/ my download manager

Greasemonkey - lots of useful website-specific tweaks/conveniences

Greasefire - autofinds many greasemonkey scripts

Mouse Gestures Redox - mouse gestures are awesome; I dunno how people don't use them lol

RefControl - customize referrers

Tab Mix Plus - tab options

Go Up - goes up one level in the website hierarchy

Easy DragToGo - customize dragging options on links, images, text

Favicon Picker 3 - customize fav icons

Image Zoom - image zoom options

Locationbar - clearly identifies the subdomains; I mostly use it as an extra precaution against phishing or web address confusion (even though I've never really had an issue with it, I'd rather be safe than sorry)

I thought it'd be interesting if we all mentioned which Addons we use with Firefox and why we choose to do so. It doesn't matter if it's for privacy, appearance, bookmarks, etc. Maybe, we might be using things that others might find helpful or maybe someone can point out problems with our Addons collection, as in, such and such Addon does the same as the other or this Addon actually spies on you. Just list them, mates and add your opinions! :) I'm currently using these:

* Adblock Plus 1.2.2

* BetterPrivacy 1.48.3

* Video DownloadHelper 4.8

* Ghostery 2.3.1

* IE Tab 2 (FF 3.6+) 2.5.10.1

* TACO 3.0 with Abine 3.20

* BabelFish Instant Translation 1.93

* ImTranslator 3.3.5

* NoSquint 2.0.3

* Read It Later 2.0.6

* Screengrab 0.96.3

* StumbleUpon 3.73

* WeatherBug 2.0.0.4

* Xsticky-Tool 1.3.2

* YSlow 2.0.7

I know, that's a lot of Addons, mates but, I don't use all of these at the moment. I've disabled some of them because I want to test those out later on. ^_^

The ones I always install first are the ones to remove the annoying, distracting, bandwidth and quota guzzling advertising and Flash animated crap that infests webpages...

AdBlock Plus

AdBlock Plus: Element Hiding Helper

FlashBlock

Others...

English (Australian) Dictionary & British (English) dictionary - for those of us who prefer English spelling over the odd American flavour

NoScript

FlashGot (download Manager, nothing to do with Flash animation crap)

Tab Mix Plus

I think everyone should go and get an account at Mozilla.. and download the Collections extension.. in a few seconds you can create a collection of your own for everyone to link to and look at or even subscribe to...

Addon Collector

Good way to share easily and install all of the addons or ones in which you select and even view updates and changes..

For instance... 0ofu Essentials

Fits right into your Addons window.. with some nice options.. be a great way to post up and share.. :)

I've been out of the Firefox loop, and would like to get back...but, thing is I have no idea what addons to use...

So could you help me out by pointing what addons you're using atm?

Skipscreen! The latest beta.. not the dead one on Firefox's site.

http://www.skipscreen.com/install/whatsnew_beta.html

Ever since one of you posted a link of the newer betas (might've been DK I cant remember) I have been hooked.

Skip Screen 0.5.9bs

DownthemAll/Download Helper

Alexa Sparky *shivers* (for my unpopular websites =P )

TabRenamer(just in case lol)

Personal Menu (So I could remove the menu line on my browser)

Adblock Plus

Search Status (for my unpopular websites =P )

US English Spell Checker 5.01

Haha you have like 50 addons and only one theme ey? I like the default look the best too. There is always at least one thing about other themes that really bother me so I stick to default. ^_^
