I had a similar problem just a day back, my wireless keyboard stopped working on win8 x86 pro after I uninstalled KIS 2014, had to reset the system to make it work again ! I guess it could be from a number of things but I suggest try a system restore & see what happens.

Also you can try one of those linux live CD's to check if the keyboard/touchpad work or not.

Just get a spare mouse/keyboard tomorrow & btw if you have your windows setup on a CD or even a USB device then you could try to boot with it & see if any of the input devices work or not.

Shame to kaspersky.

I used Kaspersky 7 years untill a few months ago and never had any problems with it - I don`t think it`s Kaspersky to blame . Much more problems causes Norton , or McAfee , but even when I tried these AV-s I didn`t have to reinstall my laptop B) .

A good ideea would be to have a back-up (Acronis for ex.) with a clean Windows installed - it`s simpler and faster to restore the image .

If you delet all keys from registry ( ex Legacy..), you will have the same problem.

And if you restore your Os,kaspersky will be reunstalled !

You can't uninstall kaspersky totally and keeping a good OS.

Let kaspersky or formate your PC if you don't like it.

I've never had problems uninstalling Kaspersky 2012 or earlier. But, Kaspersky internet security 2013 was a total nightmare even trying to make it run. they did something wrong, that's for sure. you should always make a system restore point unless it's fun reinstalling the operating system!.

agree.. thats why i stop using kas/kis way back

its good AV but the uninstallation is worst... when i uninstall it on my xp (2 yrs back)..my whole pc was screw up... everything was mess up.. and i have to format the pc.

Now if you do not make any stupid moves in the meantime, you can make it very easy to "walk" again. I've talked about for two years, that Kaspersky does so. Then I heard always angry yell, that which I speak, as a good thing Kaspersky is and how stupid can I be.

You have actually all right, only requires rebuild WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) Repository.

Yamicsoft Windows Manager will help you to quickly correct, rather say the Repair Center.

But when you start to implement the restore points, you can be sure, that you do not get it correctly run.

SyafaTahvBroentoeng

read the documentation clearly or wait review from the others, especially if you don't have experience with that

know the risk of what you do, it's already mention on kaspersky beta forum

never try somethings thats still under developed stage for your main system, or use virtualization

and the most important things are: "Always backup before trying something!"

I have no previous backups to do system restore.

That's one area you'll need to rework for the future - I'm not referring to System Restore, though.
