Staying logged in

I can't seem to stay logged in, almost everytime I open the forums I have to log in again, I tried to find a patern like getting logged out after closing my browser but couldn't any. I deleted all my cookies yesterday and signed in and today I got signed out. I'm using google chrome 2.0.170.0. This is only happening with this forum, all other sites act fine.

Any ideas ?

this might be a dump question, but you did tick the remember me box, right? :)

The forum doesn't keep you signed in if you connect with a diffrent IP or computer. Have been discussed before in another topic.

I think the diffrent IP block is very annoying, but it's Lite's call.

Do you log in using the 'small' username/password dialog or the bigger version?

I noticed when using the small version I don't stay logged in and when using the bigger I do.

I've never noticed it on any other forum than this so...

I log in using the main log in page i.e. the big one. and the remember me box is always ticked. I'm guessing it's the IP thing since there isn't any pattern to it

Try cleaning out cookies/temp stuff in your browser then login through the "big" login and try if you remain logged in.

Of course you won't... Just disable cleaning cookies, they're only there for your own good.

Try deleting your cookies, And then if it still don't work then just click remember password, It works fine for most of us so it must be your Browser try testing it in some other browsers.

All the advice given on this forum does not apply; I've had the exact same experience and I have no idea what it could be, but I know it's not to do with the cookies because everything else works fine ;)

Think... when you use a proxy the info (e.g., webpage, cookies, etc.,) your browser retrieves is from the proxy, right?

I know that the proxy alters the header it gives to the address you're viewing.

What if it does more?

I have used a lot of proxies (transparent, anonymous, elite, cgi / web etc.,), and I know some of them have added / useful features. Especially web proxies, they have the ability to alter / deny cookies, objects, javascript, etc.
