Did you get it from SourceForge?

Normally, you have 3 different packages... .zip, .jar and .exe

Try one you know you can open.

It comes from this site, nsane's site. install the stable, and then download the jar file, it says. just it mentions changing, or indeed replacing the jar file in the azureus folder. i just don't seem to be able to do that, unless when the 'stable' version of azureus updates when opening it, it some how uses that jar file to update, i just don't assume that to be the case. just need to know how to 'replace' the jar file in the azureus folder to update. thanks

Yea I just checked, and maybe it's because I don't use Azureus, but I find it a little hard to understand too.

I do know that a .jar file is a standalone extension, such as .exe and .rar etc... but from the looks of the instructions it is asking you to replace the existing .jar file (is there one upon regular installation?) with the beta version.

Hopefully nsane will clarify this further but in the meantime, see if there is one in your regular folder to replace, and if so replace it. Load it up, and check what version is active. If it says beta, then it's worked.

yes, there should be a file named azureus.jar in the folder you installed the program to. you simply need to rename the downloaded file to the same name and replace the one in the program folder with it, voila your running the latest beta :)

edit: make sure the program is COMPLETELY closed before replacing the file, obviously :D
