Everything is working fine. Even Computer opens properly and i can see the drives and they are also opening properly. Problem is with only explorer.exe in Windows folder and its shortcut in start menu..

I would use Windows repair from tweakingcom.. ^_^

fixes a lot of nasty issues..(If that wont help, restore an Image, fresh up PC(cause you use win 8.) or ...REINSTALL! :P

And think about a security software switch!!

This problem is with my windows 7. I have appended in my topic that i had installed and tried BetterExplorer and then uninstalled it completely..

I think BetterExplorer is the cause for the error..

Err that's Windows 8 ?, you've stated above that your issue is with Windows 7 ?? can you please calrify.

If it is indeed windows 7, then try the following :-

1) Is the error occuring when you run windows, or just when you open explorer ?, (It could be that betterexporer haws left some remnant file associations) If the error occurs at startup, grab a small app called autoruns, this will tell you if betterexploer is being called at startup and you can disable it from there

or

2) as just posted above me, run a comand prompt as admin and try : sfc /scannow. (This will attempt to detect any errors and fix)

Regards

Dodel.

No.. It's windows 7, explorer is little tweaked like windows 8.

Ans as i have mentioned that there is no problem in opening explorer.

problem occurs only when i click explorer.exe in Windows folder and Windows Explorer shortcut in Startmenu entries.
