I bought hp ultrabook today. it has 500 GB hdd and 32GB ssd(in which windows 8 is preinstalled) .There is only one drive(C drive of 460 Gb approx) in My Computer. All windows files are in C drive only. will it be safe to do partition of C drive?

(As it may include both ssd and hdd)

PLz suggest..

SSD is propably as cache for the harddrive with Intel smart Response SSD caching.

You can partition the harddrive in what you want.

they use a express cache with the ssd and a mechanical drive to make it faster.

so you could partition all you want.

my opinion take out this small ssd and change it with a 80-256gb ssd and re install the system om the ssd.

and keep the mechanical drive as data.

It's an ultrabook, so propably you can put only one drive inside the ultrabook.

32 GB will be m-SATA module on the motherboard.

Thanks everyone for their suggestion.. :)

I did the partition in normal way without any third party softwares, everything is working fine.. takes less than 10 sec to boot.. fast fast.. :showoff:
