Can a PC affect a router?

I mean can it cause the router to break where it would make the Internet connectivity malfunction and say restart?

it is possible if you have a coaxial connection, that the dhcp server throws a tantrum and disconnect the router. but that's not an error of the router itself....or the server, it's one of the regional...."boxes" (for lack of a better term) that usually drops your connection anywhere from daily to weekly and you have to do the ol' disconnect, wait, connect procedure. (that's a short excerpt from a 20 mins long explanation from my ISP)

but i'm making too many assumptions already. i hope that's what you mean

Well i realy dont think so but did u had some sort of problem that let u think like this,or something ?

The router will, in most cases (or in all) never break or stop functioning or malfunction after an disconnection or with a bad connection. If that was the case (otherwise), I would have required a million routers by now. :)
