Before attempting to delete it - did you try:-

  • 01.) Disabling your AV and other security system?
  • 02.) Using UnLocker to delete/rename at boot (if it cannot be done immediately as the process is locked by system?)

  • 03) You can check if there is any "self protection" enabled of the software of which you want to delete the file. If it is enabled - disable it and try to delete.

If that fails, run a HDD tool to check the health of your HDD.

It that's Faronics Deep Freeze you may need to reinstall and unistall again....I think some of their files are system protected.

If you have malwarebytes you can try the FileAssassin tool. IObit unlocker is nice. I use it when needed.

There is also LockHunter which I sometimes use also

boot with hirens boot cd and delete the file.

I tried Hiren`s BootCD -> still no luck !

-> booted in MiniXP , tried to delete in explorer -> not deleted

-> tried to `Reset Attributes` -> tried to delete in explorer -> not deleted

-> tried to `Reset NTFS Permissions` -> tried to delete in explorer -> not deleted

In Safe Mode there is no AV active in real time -> couldn`t delete with Explorer , neither with FileAssassin or Unlocker

Finaly I could delete the file after reboot with UnLocker

( I started PC in normal mode -> start UnLocker -> select folder from UnLocker`s interface -> Delete -> finaly deleted the damn file ! )

Thank you all for your advices !
