TheAslan
I have tried to follow this video tutorial but no luck: For me it says something like:Hosted network could not be started. The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the operation.PS: What really is the best way to turn your Windows 7 laptop to wlan hotspot? I tried 3 different software but no luck, I have now 4G USB stick where I get my internet connection. I have disabled Services too so let me know if there's some Services which should be at Automatic or Manual state. Is there any chances to get this wlan hotspot without 3rd party software? And I can't start WLAN AutoConfig service because I have disabled so many Services, which service is required for WLAN AutoConfig? Thanks for advance. Lysoform
Try the following:Open a command line and type:netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid="MySSID" key="Mykey" keyUsage=persistentYou have to change MySSID by the name of your SSID and to change Mykey by your SSID key. Then go to Control Panel => Network and Sharing Center => Change adapter settings and check if the "Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter" is shown.Once the above is verified and confirmed, open a command line and type:netsh wlan start hostednetworkIf everything has gone fine as from that very moment your notebook should work as a virtual router.Rgds
TheAslan
I tried that and this is the result:I tried to start WLAN AutoConfig service but it didn't start, looks like there's some services which needs to be enabled before starting WLAN AutoConfig service. TheAslan
I tried Virtual Router but I could not get it to work, maybe in same reason because I have disables services, I want to keep my computer fast as possible that's why I have so many disabled services.PS: Maybe I have to create a double boot, one heavily optimized 7 and one non-optimized 7 for wlan connections.
