Administrator DKT27 Posted August 8, 2010 Administrator Share Posted August 8, 2010 Just wanted to ask if this is also supposed to come with the box, mara- fix and is it considered harmless? C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\Downloads\box, mara-fix v1.3\box, mara-fix v1.3\Eset fix\Eset fix.exe » AUTOIT » svchost.exe - Win32/Shutdowner.NAL trojan Thanks in advance. Yup. That comes with box, mara- fix and is harmless if you have downloaded it from nsane.down. It's just a file that automates immediate restart to enable Self Defence of ESET after fixing. ;)

Yash
So it sounds like there is a decent population that is using V4. What do you think. How is it running? How is memory usage compared to the past? Anyone run into any viruses yet? The mara fix works like a charm with v4, it also updates automatically, usage of ekrn.exe is about 60mb egui.exe is about 3mb Total ram of 1gb running xp sp3
wintron
using nod32 av version 4.0.472 with nodlogin . lately nod 32 has been blocking the ulisessoft.info site . have added that address to be not filtered but still the same . to be able to update license i need to disable av . funny thing is that on my other pc which is running nod 32 3.0.695 it doesnt block it and both are using the same settings about blocked addresses , filtering and so on . what i havent added in version 4 is not to filter the actual ip address which starts with 96xxxxxxx . seems that the ulisessoft site has been hardcoded or something similar into av although it doesnt show .anyone care to comment on this . That's basically a special category to kill all keygens and hacktools etc. No real virus will ever be classified as potentially unwanted application so your level of protection is not compromised. For instance, I have *proxy.nsanedown.com*because we all know the frontpage here is virus free. EDIT: Make sure you choose the "List of addresses excluded from filtering" in the drop-down list. EDIT 2: Oops, just saw your previous post that you did add the site to your do not filter list. What exactly did you add to your do not filter list? I added *ulisessoft.info*and I am now able to go to that site. :D

Night Owl
Well, it must be something with that one PC of yours since you said your other PC with ESET 3.0.695 still works fine, and I don't have any trouble either (ESET NOD32 v4.2.58.3).Did you change ESET somehow just before the problem started 7 days ago? Maybe there is a typo or something in the way you enter the settings. Try importing these settings from this file and nodlogin should work after. Extract the rar archive on your desktop, it contains 1 xml settings file. Open up NOD32, toggle advanced mode on the setup page then you will see import and export settings option. Click import/export option then locate the xml file and import it.NOD32 v4.2.64.12 Settings.rar

avmad
I installed Nod32 AV about a week ago with just the Mara/Box fix, its been working fine. I just wondered if that was all I need to do? As I don't see trial days or anything as I ticked all the boxes. Is it all working now as it should, or will I need to do something else? Thanks
