kaspersky
Box / mara - Is there any way to disable Self-defense without reboot? I think we can use ZwTerminateProcess kill method to kill the core of eset (ekrn.exe) or try to injects a killcode into the process. after that we can disable Self-defense via registry/eset without reboot and than enable eset service (ekrn.exe) by using "net start" and "sc config". also Do you use a service to change the PT value everytime after the conputer star? what method do you use to be able to edit registry with Self-defense on / to be able to close ekrn.exe? mara-
I installed ESS v4.0.314.0 and mara-fix v1.4 on Friday and have SelfDefence enabled (and working! :tease: ) I have had no problems updating and have the latest sigs 3953.One weird thing is I have not rebooted since but I am still on 31days? I was expecting with SD enabled the days would count down until I restarted, am I missing something?Did you rebooted after you enabled self-defense? Maybe self-defense was not properly enabled. Uncheck and then check option and do a reboot.Box / mara - Is there any way to disable Self-defense without reboot? chrisTM
Hello.Man, you are too good! I can't even keep up.So 1.5 fix adds reset capability with self defense enabled, on reboot. Is this the only real upgrade from 1.4? This seems to be the case from my readings. I'll have to give it a test. I still have 1.1 and 1.4 in an excluded folder where I'll also place 1.5. I assume they won't get in each others' way.Congratulations.chrisTM out.Congratz on your ViP mara-! :ablow:Wow thanks. LeetPirate
Am I the only one here that finds all this effort to create "the perfect trial reseter" meaningless since nodlogin 9.9 is working PERFECTLY? Is it all about the credit? For personal use, I totally agree with what you are saying but think about other situations. For example I could use nodlogin on my pc because I know how to use it and what to do when it needs updating or when the server is dry or how to configure it etc. Would I install nodlogin on computers belonging to relatives or friends? The answer is no, because they don't know what to do when nodlogin says error connecting to server or anything else for that matter. The worst part is when the eye turns red and starts to harass them, they call me to harass me, lol. To avoid all that, I prefer a perfect working trial reset for my friends and family. It all depends on the situation I guess. What is the best choice when I install nodlogin 9.9 ?Normal mode ? Hidden mode ? etc.. ??Read here. The "best" mode is whatever suits your needs. I would recommend manual mode and then add it to nod32 scheduler to run nodlogin once per 24 hours or 3 days.

shought
Hi Guys,I installed mara-fix but when I update, it ask me for username/pw? Did I installed it wrong? No, it's a bug with the ESET servers.@mara-My trial date is also not counting down, I know that's what we want, but I haven't rebooted in at least 24 hours so it should've counted down already! box
ESET4 Box4EVER 4.01A ;) See my signature on how to download. This crack is for ESET Smart Security 4 and ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4. It works with version 3 also. It just stops the trial period from ever counting down. ESET will stay at 31 days always without ever restarting your computer. You will have FULL "Self-defense" always. It was tested using version 4.0.314 on WinXP (x86/x64) & Vista (x86/x64). Installation:1. Install ESET. (If already installed, then skip to step 2.)2. Disable the "Self-defense and restart the computer. 3. Execute the crack and follow the simple on screen instructions to [Lock / Unlock].4. To uninstall, just delete the file. Make sure that you unlock ESET before deleting the file.NOTE 1: To Disable (or Enable) the Self-defense, open ESET, press keyboard <F5>, select <Antivirus and antispyware>, UNCHECK (or CHECK) the <Enable Self-defense>, <OK>, and <OK>. NOTE 2: It is normal to get a setup error message like ..."an error occurred while saving the configuration. Just ignore the error. All changes made are good.NOTE 3: The current virus signature version will not be displayed in the tray icon. It will display again only after you have unlock ESET and restart the computer.BOX
shought
Nice box!Ah, this fix works by locking ESET out of the registry, doesn't it? :PI think this one is ready for the frontpage as well, but is there any way you can remove that error message? Also it might be a good idea to combine your fixes(mara- and box) in one fix with a proper description of which does what and then let the users choose ;)If not a combined fix I was thinking of adding your fixes to the same files and adding a proper description to each fix with the pros and cons(if any), this to avoid our users from thinking 'which is best, or do I use both?' and stuff like that. mara-
I need some of you guys who are using my latest fix to do some test for me:Enable self-defense and reboot. Now, keep you computer turn on more then 24 hours, it would be good if you can keep it 48 hours. Also, make sure that self-defense is 100% enabled. To check, navigate to registry key 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ESET\ESET Security\CurrentVersion\Info' and try to change 'EditionName' value. If you get error and value can not be changed then self defense is active. Thanks in advance.Cheers ;)

This is the same method used in my earlier version of Box4ever with ESET v3. I thought that it would come in handy one day.I don't think that I can remove or suppress the error message. I take that back. I KNOW that I can't remove or suppress the error message. It is probably part of ESET. I also think that once you have it set up there would be little need to tinker with the ESET configuration often.Edit: Removed the content because it was not for this fix.
